The majority of students are really smart kids who get into high-ranking colleges. There is also a lot of favoritism as far as which sports and/or people get recognition for achievements. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, and high school ratings.Overall, Clayton High School is amazing when it comes to academics. There's busy work from some teachers but there's time wasted on standardized testing, sitting around waiting for bells to ring, etc. For dual-working families, like mine, the options for extended day and after-school programs are abundant and appreciated. Overall, It has been my best school experience thus far and I believe it has been preparing me well for collage and the working world.I have been going to Hickman for the past 4 years a love it here! We have a COVID-19 response based off of what other schools have been successful with. The diverse environment is incredibly welcoming- with several ethnicities and religions represented, you are guaranteed to graduate with a broader worldview and better exposure to cultures across the globe. It’s a bigger school, but the faculty does a great job of knowing each of their students by name, and they set aside time for students to help with academics. Every morning, Head of School, Bob Cooke, greets each child with a handshake as they enter school. To go along with an excellent education, you can develop true friendships with your teachers. All of the fun things we looked forward to were cancelled but our school district got creative and provided a drive in style graduation and it was amazing! The small town feel of the Kirkwood community itself compared to the greater St. Louis area can seem a little sheltered at times, but it’s very friendly. During my time there I was involved in the school newspaper, marching band, winter guard, NHS, symphonic band, Renaissance committee and Link Crew. The coaching staff, teachers and administrators are exceptional! Overall, don’t waste your money on a private school education when you can get it at Kirkwood! This results in not having to pay for certain classes, which is a big bonus. We have amazing school spirit, especially since opening our brand new football field and stadium with lights for night games! Brentwood is by no means perfect. Main Office Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. These opportunities include being apart of an organization that allows students interested in the medical field to explore many departments of an hospital and gain information regarding how this environment is upheld. The students can be challenging to work with at times but that seems to be the case for most high schools. My senior class was disrupted by Covid-19. Missouri ranks as the 20th state in terms of student enrollment and 14th in terms of total number of schools. The state of Missouri requires that students complete at least 24 credits in order to graduate from high school. However, I still have found a family that accepts me for who I am regardless of my skin color. The community came together and had a parade for the seniors where the teachers lined up in parking spaces and the seniors cars wove in and out of the lanes to say goodbye. Kind of makes me wish I could go to high school again!Community School has been the best possible choice for our family. My favorite thing about this school is that no one feels left out; everyone has a place to be with the hundreds of clubs and dozens of sports you'll fit right into. What Are the Minimum Requirements to Graduate High School in Missouri? I wouldn't have trusted my education with anyone else. As A result to this, there isn't a sport culture.
