Montmorency Falls cable car

Walk up the many stairs to stand on the bridge atop the Falls, or take a Cable car and ride across. 100ft taller than Niagara Falls and just 15 minutes from Old Quebec, the 272-foot high waterfall dominates the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency. We took the 800 bus from de Saint Helene (near Saint Roch) and it becomes the 50 bus in Beauport, which then goes to the top of the falls. On my trip to Quebec with a large tour group, we went to Montmorency Falls.

The leisurely ride to the top offers spectacular views of the 272-foot (83 meter) high waterfall.

In tourist season there is a privaexcellent place, spectacular frozen waterfalls, we went in the cold season March, the place has magnificent views, We went on Boxing Day and it was packed! You do not need to line up at the ticket office. You don't get any better views than you can get elsewhere and it's pretty boring to be honest. You need to go, is very easy to get there, you can use the bus from the center of Quebec City, just for 3.5 CAD and you come and go.Felt bad that we could not enjoy the zipline, but the suspension bridge was a game changer. For those who aren't afraid of heights, I highly recommend the bridge. We went all the way to the bottom and then back up on the lift to complete the loop. We found three kids play areas which was great for our son. You will see dazzling views of the falls, park cove, and Île d’Orléans. On our last day it was pouOur Quebecois friends drove us around town for the sights and we came to Montmorency Falls at lunch time. There is a fee of $9+ to park which seems steep considering that the lot was mostly empty. I showed my mobile voucher at the drive-in entrance and they gave us our wristbands. It is suspended directly over the falls so you can feel the water roaring beneath your feet.

Avoid the tour that takes you to the chocolate STORE , maple butter and bread STORE, copper factory STORE and baciillica with additonal entry fees The four hour and 30 minute tour could have been condensed to 2 to 3 hours with a visit to only the falls.
