Matt is stuck holding “Daredevil” from falling to his death and Elektra steps in to take down the cops and does it in a way that Matt would approve of. Daredevil is still one of my favorite books at Marvel and while this issue was dominated by an extended fight, two really big things happen that have me pumped going forward.

One of the guests just keeps jabbing at Fisk and you almost feel for him, since he is trying to go legit with his business dealings. Murdock’s makeshift costume, the Daredevil copycat (I’m serious about cosplaying it), and good ‘ol Foggy; brawling with the Po Po. A great series that continues to build. Marco’s art, as always, is just a treat and he does so well with his fight scenes.

Not too much story packed in this issue, but it's still a good read. The sad part is that these “clean” business people are just as bad as the street crime that Fisk used to be a part of, as they talk of purchasing a government in order to get overseas business done to their standards for profit. It’s a pleasure to have Checchetto back on this book, stylistic haze and all. Honestly what was that guy thinking, literally why would you try to bully the Kingpin, and real talk I was feeling bad for Kingpin there so I support him and his choices. While taking a cruise, the Plunderer, an infamous pirate, attacks. From Chip’s words into Matt’s thoughts you can see a tormented man who wants to do the right thing but knows that he can’t stop himself from crossing the line and going into violence. Amazing issue! Again that one guest just can’t let go of Fisk’s past and keeps poking the bear, at which point Fisk excuses himself from the table. Arguably the best season out of the Marvel x Netflix shows. Seeing Fisk feel small in the world of "legitimacy" is great. Episode 12 is filled with wasted efforts, but it offers an interesting change to the standard Daredevil narrative. Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto work perfectly together to create two intriguing stories that follow Matt Murdock and Mayor Wilson Fisk. This is another great issue from the creative team of Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto as they continue this arc and series with thrills and spectacular imagery.
