Pride The acting is not horrible but it is far from first class, and the script is better than many b-movies but not enough to make of this an engaging film. Apart for the fact that the casting was CLEARLY made to have a double of Christian Bale and a double of Guy Pearce, the film itself is a sort of cheap double of a lot of other movies (with a bit of Shyamalan, a bit of Cocoon, a bit of Signal, a bit of many other things). But in a small town, a mysterious object from the sky falls and soon it was claimed by a single father after he was healed by its touch when he met a car crash near the site. Few episodes tossed there and not fully developed

The choice to set the film in a small American farming town but actually filming in Sydney, Australia was one to obviously attract an broader audience is somewhat questionable to me. True to reality, Iran has nuclear weapons. There isn't a scratch on him.. rogue government agents are on his trail....this is a good film and It deserves a second viewing.A few days later and I barely remember this film, other than its desire to be an I could see why this got a 2.7 because it’s definitely got some tropes and questionable dialogue, but I really liked it even though it’s sort of rehashing of stories we’ve seen before it was done with a new twist. The action takes place somewhere in the US (I don't think the exact location was specified but it seems the Western US). I think it's because it's poignant. For me personally, the ONE thing that really puts me off with low budget films like this, is that many times the acting is SO atrocious that in 10-15 minutes I truly HAVE to turn it off because it is so bad. It's ironic that I chose to watch it on the night of the 10th season premiere of "The X-Files" because it feels very much like an X Files episode, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.I cared about the characters, dug the slow burn, liked the political/social commentary and thought the lead actress (Kendra Appleton) was cute and adorable. I don't know, it felt like they were trying to make too big of a deal about this.

I almost did not want to waste time to watch this movie due to some negative comments of few critics who says its boring etc... Well.. Luckily i did not believe them totally.. Low engagement with public at time This film is set in the somewhat-near future on earth. It seems like this was trying to be a slow burn, character driven movie about how different people deal with this alien object but the characters are very generic and the dialogue is incredibly bland throughout.

Overall, this was a pretty solid little sci-fi movie.My only real problem is the ending which I found "obvious" (though it is a movie that is much more about the slow burning journey than the destination) and the fact that they left more than a few plot threads hanging.Also, the FBI agents were terrible actors but other than that, I quite enjoyed this nifty sci-fi flick.Sometimes I feel people just want to make films for the sake of making films with nothing really to tell. Full of opinions on things you know nothing about. Action, suspense, and a sci-fi touch. The threat of nuclear war is imminent. We won’t be able to verify your ticket today, but it’s great to know for the future.Regal A father who works hard to provide for his daughter is suddenly one day blinded by a bright light and crashes his car that he is driving. This would have been a much better film if the main character was a late teen or twenty something guy, who saw the incident as his life being spared for a higher purpose.
